Office Automation PracticeSince its beginnings, the Information Technology (IT) industry has focused on automating business processes, including what we now refer to as the "front" office and the "back" office. Streamlining these processes has also been at the heart of our IT practice since the beginning. Front Office AutomationThe so-called "Front Office" includes the applications that users (and, increasingly, customers) interact with to accomplish their day-to-day work in the office. Today, when many clients have purchased suites of productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, WordPerfect Office, or Lotus SmartSuite, front office automation projects often include tightly integrating with these programs to fully streamline business processes. To accomplish this, we use leading integration technologies, such as OLE, ActiveX, XML, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA). One of our most ambitious front office automation projects is our legal office automation database system, The Legal Desktop. (Call for licensing information.) We have also created similarly integrated systems for real estate construction contractors, catalog sales organizations, private equity investment managers, and others. We have the experience to take on similar automation projects for any industry or profession. Back Office AutomationIn IT terms, the "Back Office" includes the behind-the-scenes processes that complete the business processes initiated and tracked by the "Front Office." In a sense, the highly visible Front Office gets the glory, but the Back Office gets the results:
We understand that the Back Office is just as critical to the success of your organization as the Front Office, and we know how to build systems that seamlessly integrate the two. |
